Marion and Archie Byers invited folks in the riding to tour their property today. Victorian Christmas Decorations and knick knacks are elegantly displayed and positioned all over the main house. A dozen Christmas trees, one with antique evening bags sparkling on it, create a festive mood throughout the home. The Den is bright and cheery with a gazillion teddy-bears to brighten up your spirits.

Following the tour of the Victorian decorations, folks were directed to the 1860’s reconstructed log cabin, complete with antique utensils, handmade quilts, and many more items which we’ve forgotten but wish we’d treasured longer. Gracious ladies in period costume offered fresh baked dainties and a sip of apple cider to the overwhelmed visitors.

All were drawn to Archie’s garage to gaze longingly at his restored Vehicles. They’re awfully nice to look at but beware about touching the gleaming exteriors.

The yard and outbuildings on the property were all dressed for Christmas as well. It was an excellent afternoon event for many folks and a pleasant fundraiser for SDC.
