SDC OPCYA meet in the Chesterville for their Annual General Meeting and Delegate Selection Meeting. March 18, 2005
CHESTERVILLE: On 7 April 2005, the SDC OPCYA met at the Chesterville Legion to hold their Annual General Meeting and Delegate Selection Meeting. James Murphy, candidate for > OPCYA President, came from Ottawa to meet youth delegates. John Yakabuski, MPP > Renfrew-Nippissing-Pembroke, welcomed the group and encouraged them to continue. Re-elected to the SDC OPCYA Executive are Joanna Franklin, President; Shane Barnes, Social Director; and Priscilla Joy Franklin, Secretary/Treasurer. Dan Lalonde was newly elected as Vice President. SDC will be sending seven delegates to London for the OPCYA Convention in May. They will be voting for President and new Executive for the OPCYA. Both Joanna Franklin and Shane Barnes are running for positions on the Executive. The SDC OPCYA is committed to making a difference in this riding. They are proud of their members who have increased awareness with their fundraising initiatives. The years leading up to the election will be exciting for the SDC Youth who will be working diligently towards victory.
